Improve your photography skills aboard the m/s Paul Gauguin-August 7 and August 14, 2010 Sailings
Our intimate group will have an elite photographic tour of the paradise that is French Polynesia. If you're looking for a learning opportunity that covers an incredible range of photographic challenges and lessons, this is for you.
Celebrated photographers Jesse Kalisher and Roger Paperno share what they know about their art as they lead you on an unparalleled photo-expedition that covers everything from flowers, beaches and pineapple fields to magnificent views of Cook's Bay, Mt. Rotui, the village of Papetoai, and an ancient Tahitian stone temple.
You'll learn how to capture drama when photographing local flora … how to know when to use a wide-angle lens vs, a telephoto lens … how and where to add perspective … how to find the perfect shot … how photographers capture the majesty of this spectacular landscape … and how to control light to create beautiful portraits in magnificent settings. You'll cover it all and more on islands that deliver one amazing photograph after another.
Exclusive shore excursions, private portfolio review, a hosted dinner, and round table discussions are also included. Join Jesse, Roger, and Helen Kalisher as they give their points of view on photography during scheduled lectures on board as detailed below. Cost is $350 per person including workshop excursions.
