At Paul Gauguin Cruises, our guests and crew have always come first. Our top priority is to safeguard their health, safety and well-being as well as the communities we visit.

Working with the latest scientific recommendations, Paul Gauguin Cruises has a robust set of multi-layered measures to address COVID that are continually updated as new health recommendations are issued.

Ready to Explore French Polynesia on The Gauguin?

Beginning with April 2023 voyages and beyond, the company is eliminating its COVID vaccine requirement*, however, these vaccines are still encouraged if possible. Paul Gauguin Cruises’ officers, staff and crew will remain fully vaccinated.

Guests will need to continue to present the Health Declaration form provided with their cruise documents at embarkation. As a reminder, in September 2022, we also eliminated pre-boarding COVID testing.

The elimination of the vaccine requirement has been made after careful consideration regarding the decline of COVID’s severity, the global availability of vaccines and medical treatments to treat COVID and in combination with our multi-layered protocols, which include hygiene and sanitation measures; vaccination requirement for all crew; and an onboard medical facility and medical team comprised of least one doctor and nurse available 24/7 to provide essential care when necessary.

* Country requirements may change at any time. Please continue to check destination websites for the most updated information.

While sailing on the m/s Paul Gauguin:

In the event of a COVID case being detected on board, isolation will no longer be required.

However, if the risk on board were to increase, the ship’s Captain may need to re-introduce more extensive measures with regards to tests, mask wearing and isolation. In all cases, the company will increase its measures to the level required by countries visited where they may be more restrictive.
