Born and raised in Montréal, Canada, Pascale Guertin is a French voice artist who was born to sing. Trained as a pianist, she dabbled in different artistic spheres from a young age and, in addition to singing, has danced and taught dance, created shows, served as artistic director, and written and composed her own songs.
Devoting heart and soul to her audiences, she sings with the raw soulfulness characteristic of the great female jazz artists of the golden age. Some of her most memorable appearances include her performances at the prestigious Montreal International Jazz Festival in 2001 and at the Festival Pûlly à l'heure du Québec in Pully, Switzerland, in 2006. In 2009, she met the Argentinian piano great Juanjo Hermida, and the two virtuosos quickly formed a strong artistic partnership and have since pursued their musical journey together.
Join us aboard The Gauguin, as Pascale performs Remembering Edith Piaf and From Argentina with Love.
