Christopher Kelly is a native Californian who earned a BA in Philosophy from UC Berkeley and worked for nearly 20 years in the television industry, serving as a director and partner for local stations in Northern California. Following his exit from the television industry, Christopher was the Chairman of Chryon Corporation and served on several company and nonprofit boards.
Since his retirement, Chris has pursued his lifelong passion for military history, researching and co-authoring with Stuart Laycock: America Invades: How America has invaded or been Militarily Involved with nearly every Country on Earth, which was adapted for the UK and published by Amberley Press as All the Countries the Americans Have Ever Invaded; Italy Invades: How Italians Have Conquered the World, which has been translated and was published by Polistampa in Italy as Italy Invades: Il popolo che ha conquistato il mondo; and America Invaded: A State by State Guide to Fighting on American Soil, which was awarded the 2018 Eric Hoffer Book prize in the reference category.
Kelly and Laycock are currently working on 100 Fighting Celts: From Boudicca to MacArthur, which will be published in 2019.
Mr. Kelly has also presented at three Presidential libraries and given several hundred radio interviews. His editorials have appeared in USA Today, Investor’s Business Daily, the New York Daily News, and the San Francisco Chronicle.
