Historian
ANNA K. PIOTROWSKA (Ph.D. in Art History)
A graduate of Harvard and New York Universities, Anna is an art historian specializing in 18th-century French art, a period marked by European explorations in the Pacific and the initial encounters between Polynesian and Western cultures. Of Polish origin and a dual Franco-Canadian citizen, Anna has lived in Europe, the United States, the Middle East, Asia, and Canada. She has taught and worked at several international academic institutions, including the American University of Dubai, the Savannah College of Art and Design in Hong Kong, and McGill University in Montreal. Currently, in addition to her research activities, Anna promotes international academic cooperation at the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Development.
