Please note that not all shore excursions are available on all sailings. Descriptions and pricing may vary. Shore excursions will not be available for pre-booking until approximately 30 days prior to sailing (with the exception of the Romantic Escapades excursions). New tours, not previously listed for online sales, may be available onboard without prior notice. Catamaran sail
Moorea Island

Explore Moorea's beauty from above and below the water during this relaxing sailing and snorkeling excursion aboard a catamaran.
Depart the pier aboard the beautiful, 43-foot catamaran, and sail to Moorea's northern coast, then on to a pair of French Polynesian's most beautiful bays: Cook's and Opunohu. En route, you can sit back and relax, or savor a fruit juice under the canopy astern. Upon reaching Opunohu Bay, the captain will drop anchor in the clear blue waters of the lagoon. After receiving your safety and snorkeling instructions, you will have the chance to discover the underwater tiki place and the marine life residing there, including coral formations and reef fish.
Afterwards, you will set sail toward Cook's Bay before returning to your ship. The well-equipped catamaran offers facilities that include a rest room and shower, and a shaded area with comfortable seats.
- Entry into and out of the water is by a vertical ladder, aft of the catamaran. Sailing time and itinerary is subject to wind and current conditions. You will be required to remove your shoes upon boarding the vessel. Wear a swimsuit under a cover-up, and bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and a towel from the ship. Bring also your snorkel gear from the ship. The itinerary may change subject to wind and weather conditions. Kindly note that the use of sails is weather dependent.

Moorea by catajets
Moorea Island

Get an up-close look at Tahiti's idyllic beauty from above and below sea level during this catajet and snorkeling adventure in Moorea.
Depart the pier for the boat transfer to the base. Upon arrival, you will receive your safety and riding instructions from your guide, then embark your two-seat catajet for a 1.5-hour ride in an idyllic lagoon on Moorea. Led by your guide at an easy speed, you will take in panoramic views of the East Coast and Cook and Opunohu Bays, or the West Coast (weather permitting).
Next, a stop will be made for snorkeling in the shallow waters. After putting on your mask, fins and snorkel, you will explore the beauty of the tropical fish and coral formations. Your adventure will continue with a stop on a sand bar, where you will have an opportunity to play with stingrays.
Following refreshments, you will return to the catajet base, then be transferred back to the pier.
- This tour is recommended for guests in good physical condition. This tour is not recommended for guests with neck or back problems, or guests with limited mobility. Each catajet is equipped with a fabric Bimini roof, and a small cooler. Please wear your swimsuit under a cover-up, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and bring snorkeling equipment and a towel from the ship. Since there is no dry compartment, waterproof cameras are recommended. Lifejackets are mandatory. This is a guided tour, and participants are required to follow their guide and instructions. The minimum age to drive a catajet is 16 years old; children participating on this tour must be accompanied by a parent. All participants must be able to swim independently.

BBQ on Motu & snorkelling
Moorea Island

Your boat will take you through the beautiful waters of Cook's and Opunohu Bays whilst enjoying the scenery of the north coast of Moorea. Arrive at the Stingray spot for a moment to swim with these graceful and elegant creatures.
From here you will continue to the private motu where a BBQ lunch awaits you. Water, beer, sodas and soft drinks available with lunch. You will also see the preparation of Poisson Cru with Coconut Milk as well as demonstrations of Coconuts and Pareo tying.
There will be time to swim, snorkel and enjoy the island.
- Please bring your snorkel equipment, beach towel, sunscreen and sunglasses from the ship. Sun chairs are available on the motu and plenty of shade is provided by the trees. Rest room facilities on the motu.

ATV guided tour
Moorea Island

Moorea's spectacular valleys, bays, and vistas are yours to discover during this guided ATV tour through the island.
Depart the pier in Cook's Bay for the brief transfer via minivan to the Hilton Moorea Lagoon & Spa, where the ATVs are based. Upon arrival, you will receive your safety and riding instructions. Then, begin your ATV ride. Your guide will lead you along the road to Belvedere lookout for magnificent views and photo opportunities over Cook's Bay, Opunohu Bay, and Mt. Rotui.
You will also venture across the valley, through a river, and past pineapple fields, and stop at an ancient open-air temple, or marae, to learn about the Polynesian culture. Afterwards, you will continue on to the Moorea Agricultural School, then ride across this large plantation and down to the Paopao Valley.
From here, you will take the main road en route to the Fruit Juice Factory, where you will enjoy a brief stop. Then, ride back to the Hilton Lagoon & Spa.
Upon arrival, you will re-board your minivan for the return ride to the pier.
- For insurance purposes, each driving participant must present credit card details and a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age. The minimum age to ride as a passenger on this tour is 6 years old. Protective helmets will be provided, and must be worn throughout the riding portion of this tour. There is no storage compartment; guests are encouraged to keep cameras and personal belongings in a backpack. The cost of this tour is per ATV, which can accommodate two average-sized adults. When pre-requesting this tour, please select only one ticket.

Scenic drive to Hanavave
Omoa, Fatu Hiva Island

Fatu Hiva, the most remote island of the inhabited Marquesan islands offers green and lush vegetation with sheer, rocky landscapes. There are only two villages on the island connected by one road (17 km). The scenic 4x4 ride from Omoa to Hanavave offers numerous photo opportunities over dramatic landscapes, coastline and deep gorges and valleys.
On arrival in Hanavave you will have some free time to stretch your legs and explore the village and take more photos of one of the most picturesque locations in the Marquesas, the iconic Bay of Virgins. The bay was named by Catholic missionaries, who said that the phallic shaped stone outcrops were formed as veiled virgins.
- As this tour involves rough off-road driving, it is not recommended for guests with back and/or neck problems, who suffer from motion sickness or vertigo or women who are pregnant. This tour involves very little walking. Guests are encouraged to wear insect repellant to ward off the small beach mosquitoes (nonos). Each vehicle will accommodate four guests. The drivers are not guides, and their command of the English language is very limited.

Glass-bottom boat
Rangiroa, Tuamotu Islands

Get acquainted with the coral gardens and tropical fish of Rangiroa during this scenic glass-bottom boat tour. Depart the pier aboard a glass-bottom boat, then slowly float over the huge coral heads that cluster in shallow areas inside the Tiputa Channel.
Along the way, you will see a colourful world full of parrot fish, butterfly fish, and surgeon fish through the large windows. You may also encounter black-tipped sharks, and catch a glimpse of the majestic Napoleon fish. During the tour, your Polynesian boat crew will attract the fish directly under the glass panels to make it easy for you to observe and photography them.
A cover will provide protection from the sun and eliminate glare, enabling you to take home great photographs.
Following your tour, you will be transferred back to the pier.
- This is not a snorkelling tour. This tour takes place at Motu Nui Nui. Marine life is widely present in this region; however, sightings cannot be guaranteed and tickets are nonrefundable should a sighting not occur. The Tuamotu's are very remote islands. Although the guides used are the best available, they are not certified and their command of English may be very poor. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.

Snorkelling Rangiroa's 'aquarium'
Rangiroa, Tuamotu Islands

Rangiroa’s spectacular and diverse marine life is yours to discover during this scenic and memorable ride in the Tuamotu Islands.
Depart the pier via local boat for the ride to Motu Nui Nui, a natural, open-water aquarium renowned for its marine life. Upon arrival, you will receive your safety instructions, then enter the water to explore your surroundings.
Along the way, you will observe an abundance of colourful fish and coral and marine life. Your guide will offer assistance in the water and throughout the tour.
During the tour, you will also have an opportunity to hand-feed the fish. Following your snorkelling session, you will be transferred back to the pier.
- This tour is recommended for guests who are in good physical condition and used to snorkelling in deep water and strong currents. The Tuamotus are very remote islands. Although the guides used are the best available, they are not certified, and their command of English may be very poor; thus, narration will be very limited tonon-existent. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated. Please wear a swimsuit under a cover-up, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses, and bring a bottle of water and a towel from the ship.

Exploration of Taha'a
Motu Mahana, Taha'a Island, Society Islands

Explore Taha'a's exquisite topography, ancient culture, and local economy during this scenic and memorable off-road tour.
Depart the pier in an off-road vehicle for the ride across one of Taha'a's highest mountains. Along the way, your guide will point out sights of interest, and a stop will be made at a scenic viewpoint to learn about the traditional uses of local plants and trees.
The island of Taha'a is often called Vanilla Island, and you will learn about this fragrant spice while visiting a small family plantation. Afterwards, you will visit a small black pearl farm to learn how these treasures are cultivated and harvested. These small cottage industries represent a large part of this small island's economic structure.
During the return drive along the east coast of the island, your guide will entertain you with tales of island life and lore. Upon returning to the ship, a tender service to the Paul Gauguin's private island, Motu Mahana will be available throughout the day.
- This tour involves travel over very rough roads, with steep ascents and descents. This tour is not recommended for guests with back and/or neck problems, guests who suffer from motion sickness or vertigo, or guests with limited mobility. The itinerary may be modified depending on weather conditions. Guests must remain seated in the vehicle, as standing can be dangerous.

Catamaran sail
Motu Mahana, Taha'a Island, Society Islands

Get on-board a luxurious catamaran and indulge yourself with a breathtaking cruise in the amazing waters of Taha'a Lagoon. Thanks to the shallow draft, Catamaran will take you to shallow areas, over multiple shades of blues and turquoises of the lagoon.
While your crew sets up the sails for a magnificent sailing, feel the sea breeze as your eyes discover beauty of the Vanilla Island. During your sail, fresh fruits and juice will be served and your Tahitian hostess will help you better understand the Polynesian culture.
Arrive at the coral garden and start your snorkeling adventure. After your snorkel, sail back to the pier. Ship's tender will return you to the ship where you can catch a tender to Motu Mahana and the Beach BBQ. Kindly note that the use of sails is weather dependent.
- The snorkeling stop may be relocated depending on weather conditions. Please bring a swimsuit, hat and sunglasses and bring snorkeling equipment and a towel from the ship. The catamaran is fully protected and equipped with two rest room, shaded area, a sound system, cushions, outside and inside fresh water showers, and ladders to get in and out of the water. Kindly note that the use of sails is weather dependent.

Snorkel & Black pearl farm adventure
Motu Mahana, Taha'a Island, Society Islands

Explore Tahiti's most unique and sought-after treasures during this canoeing and snorkeling adventure and a visit to the Black Pearl Farm.
Depart the pier aboard a motorized outrigger canoe for the 10-minute ride to Poerani, a black pearl farm. The vanilla industry is the island's most important business, followed closely by the production of black pearls. At the black pearl farm, you will learn all about the most beautiful jewel of French Polynesia: the magnificent black pearl. This informative stop will help you understand the value of these lustrous jewels in these islands – and around the world.
Continue on to a small motu for an opportunity to snorkel in its crystal-clear water. This motu is located close to a pass where experienced snorkeler can observe the drop-off of the reef. Don your snorkeling gear and enter the water, where you will see wonderful underwater fauna and a myriad of tropical fish swimming around you.
Following your snorkeling session, you will embark the canoe for the return ride to the Motu Mahana for Paul Gauguin's Beach BBQ.
- The snorkeling stop may be relocated depending on weather conditions. Some of the canoes may not be covered, and sunscreen is strongly suggested. Please wear a swimsuit under a cover-up, hat, sunglasses and bring snorkeling equipment and a towel from the ship. This tour ends at our private islet, Motu Mahana, where lunch, water activities and snorkeling is available. Guests should be comfortable wearing snorkeling equipment, and able to cope with occasional currents. Morning tour departures will conclude at the beach.

Taha'a cultural tour
Motu Mahana, Taha'a Island, Society Islands
Duration: 3 h 30 Total : $82
After a brief tender boat ride to the pier, you will be met by your local guide and "Le Truck".
You will start exploring this scenic island, known as the Vanilla Island, by first visiting a Vanilla Plantation. You will have a brief tour of the grounds of the plantation and a presentation into farming and cultivation of this precious spice.
Afterwards you will continue your guided tour and you will learn about the history, the legends and present-day life of Taha'a. There will be a number of photo stops along the route.
Your final stop will be at the 'Motu Pearl Village' where you will find out all about the creation of the Tahitian Black Pearl and enjoy refreshments and local fruits in season. After the visit you will be transferred by boat directly to Motu Mahana.
