PAUL GAUGUIN CRUISES TO SAIL FAMILY-FRIENDLY MOANA EXPLORER PROGRAM
VOYAGES FOR A SEVENTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR IN 2027
Created by French Polynesia’s destination expert and the South Pacific’s leading marine
conservation association, the complimentary program offers “edu-taining” experiences for kids.

NEW YORK, NY – October 20, 2025 – For families sailing Paul Gauguin Cruises, it’s important for children to experience French Polynesia in a fun and educational way. That’s why the award-winning luxury line—recognized for its leadership and sustainability efforts throughout the region— is building upon its Moana Explorer Program with 12 voyages scheduled for 2027 on m/s Paul Gauguin.
The complimentary program, developed in partnership with Te mana o te moana, the South Pacific’s leading marine education and conservation foundation, launched in 2020 as a way to engage young guests in hands-on, educational activities both on board and ashore. Kids aged six to 15 participate in various activities led by naturalists and conservationists, while learning about the region’s coral reefs, endemic species, and fragile ecosystems. Activities vary by itinerary but might include guided snorkeling; crafts, such as the chance for kids to make natural jewelry and design their own Polynesian tattoo; water experiments; treasure hunts; stargazing; pool games; and board games that introduce them to life underwater.
“Travel opens so many doors for children to learn, expand their minds, and nurture their creativity,” said Susan Robison, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for PONANT EXPLORATIONS GROUP Americas. “We’re honored to partner with Te mana o te moana for a seventh consecutive year—reaffirming our commitment to help preserve the natural wonders and cultures of French Polynesia while also inspiring the minds of our next generation’s environmental leaders in fun, interactive ways.”
“We’re delighted to continue this meaningful collaboration that allows young travelers to better understand and appreciate the marine ecosystems of French Polynesia,” said Laëtitia Bisarah, Operations Director at Te mana o te moana. “Through fun and inspiring activities, we hope to nurture a sense of responsibility and connection to our ocean among the next generation.”
